No name is more legendary in golf course design than Jack Nicklaus. The developers at Bear Mountain Resort spared no expense to bring the best to Victoria when they gave the task of designing a premiere golf experience to the Nicklaus family.

The green goes on forever on the “Mountain” course, a 7,212 yard, par 72 course. Opened in August of 2003, the course takes full advantage of its setting atop a 1,100- foot mountain, the breathtaking views and the spectacular natural setting. This course is ranked as challenging, if not down right inspiring. From the Golden tees the course measures 7,212 yards, Grizzly tees play 6744 yards, Black tees play 6,345 yards, Spirit tees play 5,783 yards and for those who prefer a little less challenge, the Cinnamon tees play a comfortable 5,014 yards. The unique 19th “recreational betting” hole, was built to capture a 360 degree vista which will take your breath away even if you lose some cash.
In August 2008, the first nine holes of the second Nicklaus-designed 18-hole “Valley” course are projected to open, with the completed 18-hole course ready for play in April 2009.
Bear Mountain is world renowned for more than just golf. It is at the gateway to the rest of the Island and makes a perfect location to explore every possibility on Vancouver Island. Close to a wide range of hiking trails, from just a stroll to the advanced trail to the top of Mount Finlayson, there is something for everyone. The "Mountain" course at Bear Mountain is open year round for public play. All rates include power cart with GPS, club valet and club cleaning services and bottled water.

With mountain and ocean views this penthouse is perfect for any getaway. Located downtown Victoria, there is one bedroom and two bathrooms. Two levels, both with large private decks, one being just off the master bedroom.
